THIRSTY?
We have been traveling through a wilderness for a long time; Lent is just what we need right now.
“As a deer longs for flowing streams, so my soul longs for you, O God….” Psalm 42

Streams in the Desert: in Worship
Senior Seeker Labyrinth Lantern Walk
Thursday, March 4th 6:30PM
It’s Lent, and we are on a journey through the wilderness towards the cross. What do we need more than to pray with other pilgrims on the Way? In the darkness of the evening, we’ll lay our burdens down along the path. We will move at our own pace, yet in one Spirit, towards the Light that lies at the heart of all things.

Loving our Neighbor: Listening to Learn
Thursdays in Lent, beginning Feb. 25, 7:30-8:30PM
Jesus commands us to love our neighbor, and we believe that means we should aspire to celebrate the rich and full diversity of all God’s children. But we often struggle to do that. Love of our neighbor begins with listening to our neighbors. Join us as we listen to diverse personal presentations – both from people we know and from brief videos. Then we will listen to one another in conversation.

Peregrinatio: Seeking our Place of Resurrection
Spiritual Director Amy Shutt will be offering material for your contemplation and prayer life circling around the topic of “Peregrinatio – Seeking Our Place of Resurrection”.
Peregrinatio is a Celtic practice best described as wandering for the love of Christ. It is similar to the idea of pilgrimage, however without a particular destination in mind. Irish monks would place themselves in a small boat, called a coracle, and launch themselves into the currents of the sea, trusting themselves to God’s care, believing they would land in another place, ordained by God, where their gifts were most needed… their place of resurrection.
Each week, during Lent, Amy will email a handout with suggested scriptures, phrases and poetry for your contemplation. A prayer form/exercise for your use will also be included.
For those who would like to discuss your experiences or observations, an optional facilitated zoom meeting will be scheduled based on participants schedules. Amy will also make herself available to listen if you prefer to meet privately.
